New Game Releases: February 9th-15th, 2017

With Sniper Elite 4 and For Honor leading the charge of new game releases, players are in for a number of absorbing conflicts. If killing Nazis and knights isn’t to your liking, fortunately the next seven days also bring a number of other recreations from the PC port of Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force to an original video animation (or OVA) based on Inti Creates’ Azure Striker Gunvolt.

Robert Pick: This year, the game industry chose me as their valentine, with two titles arriving on the fourteenth to warm my heart. Sniper Elite 4 is a love letter to long range warfare, extending intricate battlefields where players can use stealth, ensnarements, or distant shot to undermine the fascist’s nefarious plans. And then there’s Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force, which is a satisfying and sweet as a one-pound box of See’s Assorted Dark Chocolates. Uniting creatives from Ranma ½ and Death Note writer Toshiki Inoue to music from frequent Final Fantasy contributor Nobuo Uematsu, it’s the definitive version of the Idea Factory and Compile Heart role-playing game. So if you missed the PlayStation 4 version, Idea Factory International’s PC port bring all of the goodness, along with the publisher’s customary health launch week discount.
