New Game Releases: June 16th-22nd, 2016

The Labyrinth of Grisaia

This week, the thrice-delayed Might No. 9 finally hits store shelves and digital marketplaces. Given the protracted three-year span from initial PAX announcement hype to release, it will be interesting to see how the hiatus has affected backer and audience enthusiasm. For those seeking additional instances of Inafune-led artisty, the Virtual Console release of Mega Man 7 is especially timely.

Robert’s Pick: Naturally, the prospect of Zaccaria Pinball intrigues me. Being able to play digital recreations of golden-era Italian-crafted tables which were rarely seen stateside is a completely pleasing prospect. But, if you read our developer Q&A with former Vanillaware designer, Tomohiko Deguchi, then you’d probably infer that I’m also eager anticipating this Vita and PS4-based role-playing title. With a number of creative design decisions and an attractive art style, Grand Kingdom might be the infusion of innovation some fans are looking for.

    • Yeah, that was the game that burned me on Kickstarters. Who know if I’ll even be alive in 3 years? That like 1/40th of the average life span.

  9. More like Mighty Number Nine Months Late, amirite?
