New Game Releases: September 14th-20, 2017

With popular properties like Metroid, Dishonored, Marvel Vs. Capcom, and NBA 2K making appearances across this week’s schedule of new game releases, there’s a strong likelihood that wallets will take a continued beating this week. Those who prefer more niche releases probably won’t have it any better, with both Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Muv-Luv Alterative due for arrival.

Robert’s Pick: Painting a dungeon pink with the blood of decimated foes is just one example of the weirdness that awaits in Mary Skelter: Nightmares. The game might look like your typical Eastern dungeon-crawl, albeit once where characters from Grimm’s Fairy Tales reconnoiter a living jail. But survival is less than effortless, thanks to the inclusion of enemies that are hunting you down and Blood Maidens that have the tendency to go frantic- even turning on their own team. On the upside, purging any corruptive tendencies involves giving a virtual rubdown. Maiden Heaven!

  1. They’re selling F2P Android games for $10 on Switch now?

    Sometime I hate the industry.

  2. Waiting for someone to write “I’m interesting in picking up Burly Men at Sea this week” and seeing the responses.

  3. I love how they made Chun Li look in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

Said no one ever. This week we find out if they at least made her presentable.

  4. I got to give it EA, they’re still trying with NBA Live. They’re not giving up.

  5. Waiting for more reviews on Metroid: Samus Returns before committing.

  6. Metroid: Samus Returns for me this week.
