Robert’s Pick: One glaring omission on my gaming resume is a deficiency of Metal Gear playtime. While I’ve started each entry, I’ve only finished the original game, Peace Walker, the Ground Zeroes demo, and spin offs, Acid 1 and 2. While I’ll eventually pick up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, it won’t until I’ve made more headway in the franchise and freed up some time in my schedule.

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain

Gonçalo’s Pick: The Metal Gear Solid series is a gaming staple, with each entry offering a strong, over-arching plot and engaging characters. It’s no wonder than the franchise has enthralled players for nearly two decades now. Now, as it makes a full transition into the current generation of hardware we can only hope Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be the best entry yet.

  1. I’ll let my user name do the talking. Thinking about taking the day off.

  2. Phantom Pain for me too. I feel bad giving Konami my money, but I value fun more than principals.

  3. Hurray for Sin & Punishment week. I loved the series. I wish they’d make one for the Wii U.

  4. Not much for the 3DS this week. With school starting for me, I’ll be playing more portable that console or PC.

  5. Iggy’s Azalea’s Egg Donating Adventure?

  6. MGSV for me this week. I’ve been waiting forever for the game.

  7. I’m waiting to see the kind of reviews that Mad Max will get before committing. It is WB, after all.

    • Yep, me too. I’m sure the console version will run ok, but PC ports are dicey these days.

Now, the quality of the game is a whole other issue.

    HULK!
    ON!
    THE!
    VITA!
(Space Hulk is on the Vita)

  9. $35 is a high premium to pay just to kill a few filthy gene-stealers.

    • Yea, it’s a little steep – especially considering that it’s usually in the $20 zone.
Also, Full Control (the developer) went out of business last month so I guess the guys that port it are keeping all that money?
