Robert’s Pick: With sequels across the Naruto, One Piece, Warriors, and Everybody’s Golf (aka Hot Shot Golf) franchises, a number of potential purchases are arriving this week. But as much as I adore each of those series, it’s the Yakuza games that deliver some of my hands-down favorite gaming experiences. This week’s release of Yakuza Kiwami is one of the few remasters I’ve been eager for, with the PS4 game improving visuals, loading times, and plot of the 2006 PS2 original. This week, I’m hoping to spend as much time in Kabukicho, sorry- Kamurocho as possible.

About Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  1. Even with the Prime/GCU discount, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is kind of pricey. I’ll wait for a price drop.

  2. I got Yakuza Kiwami for $24.

    Content AF.

  3. Please tell me that “Piczle Lines” is a typo and not a title.

  4. There’s a ton of games coming out this week!

Waiting for the old B2G1 free sales.

  5. is ReCore: Definitive Edition going to free if you already own the original game?

    I’m not paying $20 for a patch!

  6. Does Madden sell like it used to? I ask because I used to buy it every year. Now I haven’t touched in since 2013 or so…

  7. You missed XCOM 2: War of the Chosen!
