It’s that time of year, when the release of Madden NFL signals not only the kickoff of football season, but the beginning of the holiday game deluge. With titles like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, F1 2016, and The King of Fighters XIV hitting digital and retail markets, we’re beginning to see some the season’s heavy hitters, with the outpour of titles to follow across the next three months.

Robert’s Pick: 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution justifiably earned quite a few fans by mixing elements of the shooter, stealth, and role-playing genres into a moody examination of transhumanism and the repercussions of dominance by megacorporation’s. Much like BioShock, the title cultivated mechanical reflex and reflection, two qualities that doesn’t easily mesh together. Hopefully, this week’s release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will continue that legacy as Adam Jensen takes on the Illuminati.

  1. Mei, Mei, Mei.

  2. Thinking about trading 16 for Madden NFL 17 this week.

  3. I’ll wait for the review scores before picking up Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

  4. Ive heard nothing about KOV XIV. Supposed to be good?

  5. Wii U gets one decent but overpriced retro game and a bunch of shit ever week.

  6. Worms W.M.D. might be worth a buy once the price drops.

  7. You fight the Illuminati in Mankind Divided. That could be really cheesy unless the last boss in Mecha-Jay Z and Beast Beyonce.

  8. Game season starts in August?

  9. Is Madden still a thing. People show up for a midnight releases and eat Doritos?

  10. I hear Inside is worth a play. Love the dark look of the game.
