Robert’s Pick: For fighting game fans who appreciate J-culture, Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel seems poised to deliver. I got a taste of the game at XSEED’s E3 booth, and recently got to spend some additional time with the title in arcade and consoles while overseas. Although Blasterz might be snubbed by tournament organizers, a cast of maidens culled from visual novels, anime, and games as well as a discounted price means the fighter earns my recommendation. Grad it during the first four weeks of release and you can even nab Senran Kagura’s Homura and Arcana Heart’s Aino for free.

Gonçalo’s Pick: Seeing old PC games being re-released on Steam has become so common players would be excused for thinking they were browsing GOG instead. With that said, such titles are often classics for a reason and Warlords Battlecry III is both a hidden gem that is sadly, mostly forgotten. Its core gameplay is that of an RTS, however, players must also create a main character who will serve as their hero, this character will then feature a deep leveling and skill system that puts more full-blown RPGs to shame. You may even explore regions, visit markets, speak to the locals, gather side quests and fully explore a fantasy world. Sadly, completing the game comes with the sad realization that this is where the series ended and no one has truly picked up the mantle since.

  1. Final Fantasy Explorers is just another Monster Hunter clone. I’m getting a bit sick of these now, even though I loved MH.

  2. Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure is kind of unexpected. Price seems a bit too high. At least offer a first week promo Nintendo.

  3. I was able to get a good deal on LEGO Avengers, with a Steam code that set me back $15.

    I love PC gaming!!!

  4. Is there a new pick of the week now that Nitroplus Blasterz is delayed?

  5. I might get Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. If the dialog is as amusing as the printer joke in the title, I’ll be happy.

  6. I can’t wait to see some Oculus games on the new release list. Only two more months.

  7. “recently got to spend some additional time with the title in arcade and consoles while overseas.”

Wait, you went to Japan? You lucky jerk, you. Let’s hear about it.

  8. Super Sonico needs to lose some clothes. Shes being way too modest.

  9. Hi, it’s Goncalo. I just wanted to tell everyone that my pick was Pet Inn 3D, but Deagle refused to publish it. It just might be the greatest dog and cat hotel sim over.

  10. Space missing after “Starward Rogue”

    Details matter!

  11. Deagle would probably be OK with Pets Inn 3D is there were loli maids taking care of the animals.
