DesertEagle’s Pick: Although many games have tried to successfully meld action and puzzle elements, Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure looks to be triumphant in it’s execution. A subtle mix of Wario-ish platforming and Planet Puzzle League block switching has me quite interested.

TideGear’s Pick: Several nice low-profile releases this week! I can’t resist a good action/puzzle game, I just can’t! It makes you think! It makes you act! Weird hybrid gameplay concepts
and an amusing storyline make Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure my pick, this week.

About Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  9. Why does Microsoft have to be Brutus? 😉

  10. Henry Hatsworth

  11. Scrabble for PSP, I love that game. Lets hope the AI isn’t Harvard smart or junior high school stupid.

  12. Resistance Retribution, I’m surprised that you didn’t give that the nod, DE

  23. no, just no.

Singstar- Beatles would take that claim.

  24. Why have I never heard of Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled???

  25. A hot wheel is going to fly off that track and crack the DS screen. Watch out, it’s a trap!

  26. I’ll be getting this. Can’t wait.

  27. Yes, I played the first two game when they were released. I remember having some difficulty finding the first game at release.

Recently, I downloaded the PSN version of the original game for PSP/PS3.

  28. Did I overlook that one? I played through the demo and found it enjoyable, but not great. The weapons seemed really underpowered- it would take about 20 rounds to drop a Chimera.

Still it was a great adaptation of the game to a portable machine, and the music was great.

  29. OMG! High School Triple Play Pack

    Dumbest title of the year.

  30. Grand Ages: Rome

  31. I hope to get at least a few DS games this week with my Gamestop credit.

  32. Suikoden Tierkreis

  33. how much is GA: Rome going to be?

  34. GTA Chinatown. Hope it doesn’t disappoint.

  35. Hope Valkyrie Profile turns out good!

  36. I hear it’s frustratingly hard.
