New Releases 10/12 – 10/17: Bratz, Cats, and Tak Edition
This week seems dominated by licensed games; from the school-banned Bratz to the predictably panned Tak, publishers seem to be vying for the tween dollar. Avatar, Hello Kitty, Naruto, and Goosebumps, are also filling store shelves. Even Cesar Milan is getting in on the action, asking people to ‘whisper’ to their virtual canines. Whether this involves the use of the DS microphone is anybody’s guess.

Pick of the Week: Although some PS3 owners may experience the urge for some SOCOM: Confrontation fragging, the lack of any single player game prohibits us from giving the game the green-light. From our time with the beta, Confrontation didn’t offer anything Call of Duty 4 players have been enjoying for months. Saints Row 2, on the other hand, looks to include an enjoyable single-player experience, along with full co-op and multiplayer options. As such, if gets our nod this week.
