New Game Releases: August 31st-September 6th, 2017

With titles based on everything from strategy role-playing (Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth) to projectile vomiting (Eggggg – The Platform Puker), there’s plenty of variety in this week’s schedule of new releases. If neither of these mechanics appeal to you, fear not, there are plenty of other options, ranging from Destiny 2 to LEGO Worlds arrival on the Nintendo Switch.

Robert’s Pick: Sure, Yandere School looks like it might offer a few gruesome laughs and Destiny 2 is poised to offer the same type of multiplayer-based firefights that made the original game quite compelling. But a part of me misses the character platformers of old, and as such, I’m most excited Knack II. Call me crazy, but I really enjoyed some of the storytelling and mechanics of the first game and am excited to see how the sequel can improve on some of the more generic parts.

About Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  1. I think you left off Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle….

  2. Knack II for me if the reviews are decent. Should I be worried about that $40 price tag? Is that a sign that the game is short?

  3. You chose Knack 2 over Destiny 2? You are the biggest fooking idiot that ever lived.

  4. I wonder why Last Day of June didn’t come out you know on the Last Day of June.
