The Tech-Gaming Podcast, World 1-9

Violence erupts on this week’s podcast, as SeanNOLA feverishly tells DesertEagle he’s “full of (it)” for his criticism of a popular PS3 title. Before the show is over the duo reconciles over a common apathy toward White Knight Chronicles, and Playstation doppelgangers. Meanwhile, TideGear scouts for a potential Valentine. Don’t forget to send your questions for our next mailbag, and subscribe to the Tech-Gaming Podcast on iTunes.

  1. Streaming right now.

  2. Yeah, Adam rambles but there’s no reason to not have him on the show.

  3. Downloading now, as its not on itunes yets.

  4. What happened to 1-8???

  5. NOLA and Desert are good, but needs MOAR Adam.

  6. I see you fixed that “forgot’ typo, that was driving me nuts 😉

  7. Over 50 megs? Jeez, compress that shit, people!!!!

  8. Good, I need something for the way home in a few hours.

  9. It’s up for me on itunes!

  10. Any singing on this one?

  11. We didn’t kick him off the show! The man just has a lady now, so he’s a little busy. Make no mistake, he’ll be back (hopefully soon)!

  12. Who dat fever!

  13. What’s the opening music from? Sounds familiar…

  14. All Sega theme music?

What the hell was this week’s Easter egg? a voice-mail?

  15. Adam:

    Games > Girls. Always!

    Your friend in gaming,
    Rich

  16. It’s from Grandia II. I figured that since I mentioned the soundtrack, I might as well include some music from it. The end track was the radio edit of “Go Mario, Go” by Ambassadors of Funk.

  17. Haha! Do you skip to the last page of mystery novels, too? We actually had called Adam during his first date on episode 1-8 (which never aired, because the quality was poor) so we tried to recreate that moment for the end of 1-9. It was kind of a failure…

  18. The quality of the recording or the overall quality of the conversation?

Nice with getting this one up quick, while people are still talking about the Saints.

  19. The quality of the entire 1-8 podcast was “meh.”

  20. Good podcast, but you do need Adam’s indie and iphone highlights. He also seems to keep the other guys testosterone in check.

  21. No offense, but a couple of shows have been very “meh”, that never stopped you before.

  22. Downloaded for a listen later. No spoilers, people!

  23. I have to agree with Desert’s WKC assessment. The combat is lame.

  24. How dare you guys podcast without Adam!!!

  25. 600 hours of gameplay? Sign me up for one of those games.

  26. I think that’s an important point. As a openly gay man (and gamer- gosh!) I can’t stand the majority of podcasts. Most hosts have to prove how manly they are. While you guys dont do it too much (well, as much as a guy named after a gun. Actually, that’s pretty phallic if you think about it), I do pick up on it.

I just want to tell you, your audience isn’t just 12 year old hyper-hetrosexuals boys.

  27. Decent show. Keep up the good work.

  28. Wait Adam, been on TWO dates now? Are you sure he’s on a date, and you guys just didn’t piss him off?

  29. Im curious about White Knight Chronicles now. Maybe I’ll rent it.

  30. Well, were nine shows in. I’d like to think we’ll get better with age. If would help if you told us exactly what you did and didn’t like.

  31. It’s hard for both Sean and I to do it, but a two-man show is better than no show, right?

    RIGHT?

  32. Thanks T-G, I’ll listen tomorrow.

  33. Sometimes the volume got really low, especially in the call at the end.

  34. You should list your into and outro music. That’s what most podcast do.

  35. Sounds like NOLA liked WKC because it’s vaguely Monster Hunter-like.

Which mean 90% of most American gamers won’t like it.

  36. Once I hear it’s not a full crew, I’m a bit disappointed. I’ll probably listen anyway.

  37. Adam Milecki - TideGear

Oh, they regularly incur my wrath! Haha, just kidding… I really did go on another date!

  38. Adam Milecki - TideGear

Haha, I’m not sure I agree with that, but you should rest assured that much more of my time seems to be taken up by gaming.

  39. Adam Milecki - TideGear

Thanks to those who missed me! I tried to reschedule our recording, but the guys had other conflicting responsibilities! …What a world this is!

  40. Girls, girls, girls…

Are you going to share your dating stories?

  41. SPOILER ALERT: He wore a diving suit and tried to convince his date to collect ADAM from fellow restaurant-goers (no pun intended).

  42. Did he convert the “little sister”? That’s what I wanna know!

  43. Adam Milecki - TideGear

Haha, I’ve been playing BioShock 2 and it was rather bizarre the first few times a little sister said “Adam, daddy!”

  44. Keep up the dating and those wont just be sound effects!

  45. I haven’t see a TideGear review or heard him on a podcast. All he does is offer his picks.

You might want to consider a backup plan. I’m just saying.

  46. He (and occasionally SeanNOLA) produce the podcast.

  47. Man, I just bought WKC today. I’m two hours in, and it’s a bit slow, but no huge problems so far.

I can see what DE was getting at. The combat throws in just enough realtime stuff to make you think it’s an action/rpg.

Sneaking up on enemies doesn’t feel like you are surprising them either.
