Pick of the Week: Will Steven Spielberg’s Boom Blox become
the videogame equivalent of the forgotten Artificial Intelligence or will it be
remembered as fondly as Schindler’s List? A comparison to Jaws is most likely- fun, escapist
entertainment that uses the power of the medium.  With over 300 levels, multiple types of
gameplay, and a level editor, there’s a lot of content for Wii owners.

Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  1. Don’t you mean the forgotten “Always”? I think everyone still remembers A.I. being not that bad!

  2. I’m think about R-Type Command; just for the figurine that comes with it, though…

  3. I thought Dog Island was about the Bounty Hunter in Hawaii. That might be a better game.

  4. I am interested in Crosswords DS. Its a Nintendo first party title, so it should be a bit petter than the usual third party shelf filler. It has word searches, too.

  5. I’ll probably get Boom Blox, but not right away. First drop to $40 or below, and it’s mine.

I’m having too much fun with GTA right now.

  6. What’s erroneous about a list of titles coming out this week? Somebody needs to suck it up about getting a bad review about a game they worked on and move on.

  7. The women hold ‘Always’ in their hearts like I hold ‘Saving Private Ryan’.

Maybe I should have said “The Lost World: Jurassic Park”
