DesertEagle’s Pick: After some extended play time with The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces, I can easily recommend the disk any Wii owners longing for Ace Combat-inspired dogfighting. With accommodating control styles, a decent amount of missions, and some very attractive visuals, the title is easily worth the $29.99 price of admission.
SeanNOLA’s Pick: As much as I complain about how stale that genre has become, I have to admit that I’m a sucker for a good JRPG. Image Epoch’s Sands of Destruction looks like an absolutely turn-based beat-down, but it certainly doesn’t hurt that Epoch’s all-star team includes some of the minds behind Grandia, Xenogears and Etrian Odyssey!
TideGear‘s Pick: Believe it or not, I’m not going to pick the indie game this week! While VVVVVV‘s demo does some cool things, it mostly just reminded me of similar games that are possibly better. Some of those games are free. My pick this week is The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces! Our very own DesertEagle convinced me of it’s quality, and he’s not the only one praising it. Just don’t watch the anime. Its mopiness abounds!
