Podcast 6-1: Remorseful Bad Dudes

This week, reformed rabble-rousers DesertEagle and SeanNOLA offer impressions of Two Worlds II, Dead Space 2, and Fluidity. Additionally, the duo discusses Front Mission Evolved‘s abrupt jumps from enjoyable action game to single-hit stress inducer. In addition to our indispensable trivia and mailbag segments, we also chat with Ryan and Nick from NIS America about Hyperdimension Neptunia, Ar Tonelico Qoga, and just how damn primal Altered Beast really was.

Don’t forget to send your questions for our next mailbag, and subscribe to the Tech-Gaming Podcast on iTunes. Leaving a review would be an cool thing to do; and keep us from begging for feedback every show. Listeners who enjoyed this week’s game-inspired songs can find more music by Duane and BrandO here.

  1. Isn’t at least one of the Bad Dudes a baldie?

  2. If you don’t talk about the NGP you guys are very bad dudes.

  3. First word is “um”… No, Negatron, no!

  4. Someone made fun of your username NOLA?

BTW- Apology accepted, you’re a fine Southern gentleman NOLA.

  5. Wait you guys both have masters degrees?!? I guess I should have known from your writing.

  6. “Super Kawaii” Why did that make NOLA grown?

Sounds like a good lineup of games for this week’s show.

  7. Two Crude Dudes> Bad Dudes.

    I’ll be listening today.

  8. “if you break your water”?

You give birth in the game, deagle?

  9. NOLA hates the term. All I have to say is “That chibi is so kawaii” and it’s like nails on a chalkboard for him.

I need to end all my VM’s to him with that particular sign off.

  10. Bring on the Hyperdimension Neptunia talk, suckers!

Thanks, guys. Is the the second or third time NISA has been on the show? They are the Alec Baldwins of Tech-Gaming.

  11. Hearing about Deagle buying a DReamcast, BangaiO and a random farming sim just made my day. What a nut.

  12. Nerd cred intact, NOLA.

  13. people who talk about “spatial design” in games are cool. I just hope the pay off all their student loans.

  14. Is Spare Parts anything like Battletoads? Where’s our review?

  15. Ok, you’ve finally convinced me to buy Front Mission and now it’s $49.99 at Gamestop.

  16. “The value of the sword is not that it falls, but rather, that it hangs.”

  17. Stretch Caddy Daddy

Man, Deagle loves some him NIS. I bet if they named a D4 character after him, he could die happy.

  18. No Sagurai this week? What gives?

  19. Wheres the Karnov reference in the pic? You guys owe it to Tide.

  20. Great interview this week Deagle. BTW- Are you the only one that does them?

  21. You guys know the the Mobcast did game trivia this week, right?

  22. Loved the interview!

  23. Yep, the deal is I write the trivia and conduct the interviews if NOLA does all the heavy lifting and edits the show.

  24. I think the Bad Dudes just socked me in the ear. They are bad!

  25. SeanNOLA, you are a real man for issuing an apology! Good work.

  26. All around great show. Nick and Ryan were awesome!

  27. Great show this week, even without “Samurage”

  28. Thanks for not giving any Dead Space 2 spoilers. Good show guys.

  29. Yeah fake Japanese words are so middle school. I’m with Nola, they burn my ears.

  30. Ha- I heard that too. Fluidity sounds like fun, though

  31. Good impressions this week,

  32. Good show. Great game impressions but Deagle cut back this week. Why?!?

  33. Nothing quite says bad like sweat pants and fingerless gloves.

  34. Going to get Hyperdimension Neptune for sure now.

  35. LOL. So true.

  36. Its only a matter of time before other podcast copy the segment.

  37. Great chemistry this week between you two.

  38. Great show, guys.

  39. The funniest part of the show was NOLA talking about sleeping in a box, because Deagle convinced him to buy a game. Great stuff.

  40. Wasn’t the game Sly Cooper or something? How was it $50 bucks tops?

A Desert gets a “farming game”? Doesn’t he have like 50 or those already.

  41. Who is the badder dude of you two?

  42. Funny interview with the NIS crew, but why no mention of Disgaea 4?!?

  43. I’ll try Dungeon Defenders. Say your tweet about Comet Crash- great game, huh?

  44. I hope you’re not Sage-less next week.

  45. I hope you have them back for Qoga.

  46. Loco Roco rules. That is all.

  47. Yep, someone needs to keep NOLA and Deagle from clawing out each other’s eyes, although they were well-mannered this week.

  48. Sean, starting the show off by apologizing took major guts. It’s never easy to say “I’m sorry”, especially publicly, but you did it and I appreciate it. Even though I really wasn’t that upset with you, thank you. Respect for SeanNOLA: LEVEL UP!

  49. Yah, NOLA redeemed himself with that one.

  50. Yep that took balls. When you mentioned the same thing happened to you what happened?

  51. So WHERE was Sagurai this week?

  52. Was your question directed at me or Sean and Deagle? If me, forgive me but I’m not sure I follow. :S

  53. SeanNOLA- He mentioned something similar happened to him. I guess he was made fun of.

  54. Haha, I love Bad Dudes. I’ve seen a million reviews and posts making fun of the game and it never gets old. I love games like this and am glad that so many of them exist.

  55. I do agree with all the ideas you have presented in your post.

  56. They are very convincing and will definitely work.
