New Releases for the Week of April 10th, 2011

This week has clearly gone to the animals. With new titles featuring dragons, monkeys, rabbids, a macaw and a man named Bear Grylls, humans seem woefully underrepresented in this week’s releases. One group which resists easy biological classification is the Patapon tribe. Whether the bipedal warriors are hominidae or fauna remains a secret known only to SCE Japan.

DesertEagle’s Pick: With The Dragon Knight Saga, players receive a remastered version of 2010’s Ego Dragonis along with the game’s sequel- Flames of Vengence. Throw in a nifty artbook and a soundtrack CD, and that’s the scale of the century. Fear not- the game’s dialog is much better than my crappy pun.

SeanNOLA’s Pick: I have had a house guest for the past 3 weeks, whom I introduced to Patapon 2. Now, everytime I walk into the house, all I can hear is “FEEE-VAH!” It’s been trapped inside my skull for three weeks, but somehow, it has gotten me excited for Patapon 3. Nice guerrilla marketing, Sony…

About Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  11. Divinity II is the only thing remotely interesting on that list.

  12. Elements of War

  13. A man vs wild game?

  14. Divinity II is $39.99?!? OK, I just might…

  15. Man vs. Wild vs. Michael Jackson would be cool.

  16. Waiting for Mortal Kombat.

  17. Bone The Warrior

Aladdin Magic Racer and Hyper Fighter sound like the names of games on those 50 in 1 machines you hook up to your TV.

  18. Maybe Deagle is staying over. Check for Hentai on your bill.

  19. Bear Grylls is a phony and the game can’t be any good. Anyone stupid enough to buy is deserve whats coming to them.

  20. I wish someone would make games I could care about for the Wii.

  21. You were actually second =(

Gotta agree with Sean on Patapon 3. Although I really also want to try Magicka and see what everyone’s raving about.

  22. Squinkies sounds like the little wet spots on your underwear after you…

  23. I hear two things about Magicka.

    1) Single player is great, MP is no good.

    2) MP is great, SP is boring.

Must find out which is true.

  24. Patapata pon!

  25. I’ll wait for MK.

  26. Electric Relaxation

No picks from the lost lost Karnov? Whats he up to these days guys? I haven’t heard much from Rockin Android.
