New Releases 6/1-6/6: Attack of the Moorhen Edition

Never heard of the Moorhuhn? He started life as a German promotional tool for Johnny Walker whiskey, starring in a Duck Hunt-like game in 1999. In the early 2000’s he had a comic book, hit single, television deal, and if tabloids can be trusted- a public feud with Crazy Frog. Alas, he’s now a matured and diversified chicken- and the star of three DS titles due to be released this week. Take that, Hanna Montana!

DesertEagle’s Pick: After playing Red Faction: Guerrilla for the last few days, I wholeheartedly recommend the title to fans of action games, especially if you have a passion for excessive devastation. Jumping out of a moving vehicle covered with charges, and watching the car’s subsequent detonation into the side of an enemy structure is eternally enjoyable.

TideGear’s Pick: It’s easy to pick this week! I’ve been so eagerly awaiting
Knights in the Nightmare that it’s affected my relationships with friends and loved ones! Well, not really, but hopefully they won’t try to come between the game and I.

Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  1. Is Go Play Lumberjacks the name of a real game? Sounds like an April Fool’s joke.

  2. Knights in the Nightmare looks great byut has been getting so-so reviews. Is it a SRPG?

  3. As a newly single person, I guess I should be looking at Johnny Bravo Date-O-Rama.

  4. I just noticed you guys have reviewed almost 200 games. Once you hit 200, you should have a give-a-way.
