It’s the first week of March, and the the boys of Summer are here, albeit early. While fans of our national pastime will have to wait until opening night on April 5th, we’ll be taking our Los Angeles Dodgers toward the pennant race by the end of the week.

DesertEagle’s Pick: Choosing between jet fighters, Covenant, and a portable Peggle is one tough call. Between the bleeding-edge weaponry, unabashed nationalism, and consistently strong multiplayer options, I’ve never been able to resist a Tom Clancy title, and this week’s no different. HAWX looks to give the Ace Combat series a much-needed, bogey splashing, run for the money. See you in the Danger Zone.

TideGear’s Pick: I’ve heard a lot of good things about several of this week’s games but HAWX is definitely my pick. I dig the Ace Combat games and I’m interested to see what HAWX can do differently… and do well.

Robert Allen

Since being a toddler, Robert Allen has been immersed in video games, anime, and tokusatsu. Currently, his days are spent teaching at two southern California colleges. But his evenings and weekends are filled with STGs, RPGs, and action titles and well at writing for Tech-Gaming since 2007.

  1. Phantasy Star Portable question- Do you always have to have wifi to play?

    Is there a monthly charge?

  2. Halo Wars, although I feel bad about supporting a company that shitcanned Ensemble studios.

  3. “bleeding-edge weaponry, unabashed nationalism”

Is that the DE credo? Are you a republican or something?

  4. Microsoft dismantled them right before HW was finished. Pretty bastard move, if you ask me.

  5. Yep, or playing Lit 😉

I’m picking up Halo Wars, I saw MLB 2K9 for the 360 is 19.99 in the Gamestop catalog. Might have to grab it.

  6. Peggle SpongeBob vs. Halo would kick all kids of ass.

What reviews are coming up this week?

  7. yes and no.

I am a registered democrat AND NRA member, so I’m a complex beast.

  8. Here’s my review of Peggle- it kicks ass and uses just the bottom screen.

I worried about aiming with two screens, so none of that stuff.
