New Releases 9/14 – 9/20: Pure Unleashed Rock For Answer Edition

The season of gaming is now upon us, with nearly fifty SKU’s to choose from this week. Players that neglected a selection of Namco’s PS2 library or hardcore PC favorite, The Witcher, now have the change to catch up on missed opportunities. Just steer clear of the embarrassingly mediocre Pac Man collection, and everyone will be happy.

Pick of the Week: With so many choices, it’s difficult making a single selection this week. For Nintendo DS and PC owners we suggest Line Rider 2 Unbound; we’ve spent hours with the flash game, and this sequel is supposed to offer a bit of gameplay structure to maintain the player’s attention. Next-Gen console owners should take a look at Pure, as both Xbox Live and the Playstation stores have a demo of this title. Much like Burnout Paradise, this racer throws realism out the window, for a wonderful, over-the top, arcade-game experience.

  1. Wow, so many titles I really don’t know what I’ll get. Probably DQ IV for DS.

  2. Rock Band 2- Time to have a RB party. Gaming gets no better than four people playing rock band.

  3. Unless The Witcher is uncensored I wont buy it.

  4. I’ll probably buy Force Unleashed in a few week, or if there’s a price drop.

  5. Like I said in the other thread, Pure. I never thought I’d buy a Disney game.

  6. Saw this on Digg and looked the site. Very nice articles and thanks for the list. Nice work.

  7. I have bought three Armored Core games, and always get tired to them. The mission are simple, short and all of a sudden get impossible.

    No more.

  8. Crysis Warhead. Finally I can play a Crysis game with decent frame rates.

  9. You guys are pushing a Naruto collection?

  10. I’m not a big Naruto fan, but the games are pretty fun. Fighting games with a bit of collection thrown in. The 360 version was probably the best one.

  11. Damn! thats alot of games.

I might have to get the Forced Unleashed. TRU is giving a $20 gift card with purchase. Pretty cool is you ask me.

  12. Haha. just noticed the Rock Band drums and atv in the pic.

  13. Going to go with Pure, if I can gather the scratch.

  14. Kinda dumb title.

  15. Rock Band 2 w/o instruments.

  16. Bratz Ponyz 2 FTW!

  17. I hear the Witcher was a great game. I don’t know if I have the system to run it.

  18. Line Rider 2 will get the nod. Try to watch one of the videos for it and not get excited.

  19. Ohh… Force Unleashed. Going to have to see what the reviews will be. But I’m mainly waiting for next week for Kirby Superstar Ultra and Wario Shake It.

  20. Looks like they are starting to gear up for the holiday season in a few months. My wallet is going to be crying.

  21. I forgot about Wario Shakeit. I must save my money, I must save my money.

  22. I’d like to get Forced Unleashed and Pure. I may have to wait until TRU’s annual buy one get one free sale, probably next month.

  23. I was going to get Star Wars: FU until I saw some of the review scores. Now, I cant spend $60 on a average game.

  24. Enemy mech or Rock Band 2 drum set? It doesn’t matter, fire away!

  25. DQIV. I hope it better than the Joker DS game, I bought that and lost all interest in a few hours.

  26. In for Crysis After I get a better PC. Need to buy some RAM asap.

  27. The Star Wars game for the DS looks pretty interesting =D

  28. Yggdra Union. Card battling, nerdy good times on the PSP. I haven’t played my system in months, maybe this game might get me to carry it around again.

  29. Wow, Force Unleashed is getting some really underwhelming reviews. After plying the demo, I was sure this game would average in the 80’s. Now it’s fighting to stay in the 70’s.

  30. $25 bucks at Circuit City this week. I could be in.

  31. I cant beliave anyone would pay to play Line Rider; its a free flash game.

  32. Waluigi's Dead, Boy

Just stay away from Wii Rebel Raiders. I bought this for the PS2. It’s a simple game where all the levels are the same. Seemed like a bad flash game.

  33. Battle Fantasia for the 360, just to be different. I don’t think anyone else mentioned it.

  34. Pure for the PS3. I loved the demo.

  35. Eh, I never really got into Line Rider. Takes too much time.

  36. They should call it Time Rider, or btter yet-Time Waster.

  37. I cant believe they are still making DDR games. Who buys these anymore? Kids?

  38. Mazes of Fat never came out last week. Its supposed to be out this week.

  39. I really like Line Rider. It’s a relaxing game for sure.
