New Game Releases: September 7th-13th, 2017

From Rayman Legends’ journey onto the Nintendo Switch to Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana’s launch across three different systems, this week offers a virtuous selection of visual indulgent titles. For those not delighted by platforming or action-driven combat, the next seven days is poised to also produce a number of petrol-powered titles, from NASCAR Heat 2 on console and PC to Drive Girls’ speeding onto Vita screens.

Robert’s Pick: Thank goodness for Adol Christin’s sea-based misadventures, which have been the reoccurring impetus for a succession of some of the best action-role playing games around. After spending the last week with Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, I can confirm that Nihon Falcom’s maintains their unblemished record of success. Built on a contenting storyline and combat that remains consistently absorbing, Ys VIII comes recommended without reservation. Expect a full review later this week.
