Robert’s Pick: Waaaay back in the 90’s, my strategic skills were born with two Koei titles: Nobunaga’s Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. While other simulation-based franchises have come and gone (oh, SimCity and Stronghold, what happened to you?), I’ve always returned to these historical-based epics. Between the customary campaign and a new hero mode that teaches players about the intricacies of first-century Chinese geopolitics, Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII undoubtedly delivers a lot of bang for its sixty bucks.
